THE IMPORTANCE OF ASPHALT DISPOSAL
If you have replaced your old asphalt driveway or the shingles on your roof, you are sure to have a lot of material for disposal. Sometimes there might also be leftover material that has to be disposed. In most cases, as long as the asphalt is not contaminated, it can be taken to the local landfill. But asphalt is recyclable and most towns and cities will have centers that recycle this material. There might be local businesses that want the asphalt and will recycle it and use it for their purposes.
RECYCLABLE MATERIAL
The asphalt is generally melted down and then re-used in other projects as most local municipalities prefer that it should not be disposed in the landfill. The local waste management department will be able to tell you whether they handle asphalt disposal. If they have a system in place, you will have to ask them whether there are any specific preparation methods that they need. Some of the municipalities require that the asphalt be broken-down into a certain size.
You will have to identify the drop-off times and the locations where the asphalt disposal takes place. Some places also have local asphalt companies that accept this kind of material as they do not want to spend money on completely new raw materials. Though some companies will send across trucks to pick-up the discarded asphalt, others will ask you to transport it to a particular site. This is when you can contact Emco Disposal for the asphalt disposal.
CONTAINER SIZE AND SPECIFICS
The 14 yard containers that we offer are ideal for transporting asphalt and any other material that you need to dispose. They are not very large containers and you can ask us for an estimate about the number of containers you will need. Based on the amount of material that has to be disposed, we will tell you how many containers you will need and what the charges for them will be. We provide you the best option based on the individual requirement.
You can then rent the containers and they will be delivered to your premises one day prior to the asphalt disposal date. The dumping charges are exclusive of the rentals and will be based entirely on the weight of the material that is in the containers. Disposing-off unused or discarded and old asphalt in an appropriate manner is your responsibility and a social binding as well. There are specific rules attached to disposal of construction material and asphalt and all citizens are required to abide by them.
